Cuisine: Cocktail Bar, Pizza, Tapas/Small Plates
Price Point: Mains from €10 - €20

An eclectic mixing pot of homemade food, stunning cocktails and wine. The Bookshelf happens to be the trendiest spot in all of dainty Cork.

Taking its design cues from Scandi's chic minimalism, this eatery effortlessly transforms from daytime café to nighttime bistro. Like it's food, the interior is clean and fresh, boasting whitewashed walls and enormous cushions to flop into.

It's tapas for dinner and that means one thing; sharing plates! Take the opportunity to sample as many of their delicious offerings as possible. Decorate the table with goodies like their Atlantic prawns in a white wine and garlic sauce, Irish lamb kebabs, BBQ jackfruit sliders and salty chorizo and parsley mini pastries, best dipped into a bowl of chimichurri.

If you don't want to share your cocktail, we don't blame you. Try their signature G&T, a one-of-a-kind mix that features an intoxicating apple and basil syrup. Stay classy with a bookshelf martini or whisky Boulevardier and relive your very own Notting Hill moment (sadly minus Hugh Grant).

As it was our first time dining at The Bookshelf we chose a selection of 6 tapas to share between 2 people, the patatas bravas, lamb kebabs and chicken wings were particularly tasty. We also enjoyed two beautiful dessert's, I'll definitely be back for the bread and butter pudding. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and relaxed and the staff were very attentive also, all in all it was a great experience.

When I arrived I was given a choice of table. The waiter asked my straight away if I wanted a drink while I waited for my friend to join me. We had a few questions about dishes on the menu and the waiter was very patient with us. He was so nice. I’ll be back agIn soon.

Absolutely beautiful food. We got about 6 or 7 tapas to share between 2 of us and we were stuffed after it. The prawns in butter sauce are gorgeous! The cocktails were also extremely tasty. We were delighted with everything and will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The atmosphere is very nice, relaxed and perfect to unwind at the end of the day and savoring some nice tapas. The staff is friendly and the food came fast. We had some calamari, dates and patatas bravas. Everything was nice, but the calamari were lacking seasoning and had no flavour, although the sauce accompanying them was nice. All in all we'll come back as the experience was positive!

The food is amazing!! Our bill came to €27 (I had a cocktail, and my mom had a coffee), so the meal came to around €17. We shared four tapas dishes, which was more than enough for two people! The nachos are amazing, and the black bean sauce was the nicest I've ever tasted. We also had the jackfruit sliders (so good), the patatas bravas and the wings. The wing sauce wasn't to our liking so I'd recommend asking for their garlic mayo with the wings instead!
