Service was excellent. It is a very peculiar menu with many Asian flavours. The staff were very helpful accommodating our requests regarding adding or removing some ingredients we were not sure if we would have liked. Food was delicious. Polenta cakes were to die for, and beef ribs were melting in our mouths! Dessert was so tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who is trying to experience new flavours or the ones who are already familiar with a wide range of flavours.

Wonderful evening at this hip classy joint. Surprise tasting menu for 3 was terrific as were the fab cocktails. Great service and lovely food beautifully presented. Whats not to like? Highly recommended.

Food was great and service excellent. Would go again.

Lovely location, delicious cocktails and really good quality food. Steamed Duck Dumpling to start was the best I ever had. My friend had the Beef Short rib and it was delightful. My only mistake was ordering the whole seabream (as it was not a fillet) and therefore full of bones. Everything else was top notch and full of flavour. Will definitely return to try some of the other delicious looking food. Thanks to all at Cleaver East.

Great service and amazing food.

Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. You can understand why it's ranked so highly.

The staff were exceptional. They're really polite, k ow their stuff and made some great suggestions to us.

We had the sticky pork and lamb as the mains and they were both excellent. The lamb was cooked *perfectly* and the pork had a delicious sticky coating.

The sides were amazing too - I'd especially recommend the corn with pineapple and coconut (pina-cob-lata, is what it should be called).

Overall a fantastic night. Could recommend it enough. It would be a pleasure to go back.

It was a great experience. Starting from ambience and service and finishing with the food. We took 2 starters, lamb and rib-eye steak with sides. All was great.

Got an early table right after work. Starters were served quickly and were really nice. Gorgeous food and really filling too. Excellent value, will be heading back soon.

Excellent food and excellent service. Advised when we arrived of a large group arriving shortly after that could impact our waiting time, food was great, only marked down to 4 from 5 as the steak was more well done than medium. Staff were extremely friendly. Even though it was an early booking there was still a good atmosphere is the restaurant. Would recommend and look forward to going again!

Had a brilliant time in Cleaver East yesterday evening. Myself and my friend booked in for 5.30pm yesterday. We were the only people in the restaurant for the majority of our time there which we really enjoyed. Haha. My friend had the chicken wings and I had the duck dumplings to start, they were absolutely fabulous. We both had steak as our main, he went with the sirloin and I went with the fillet. My steak was cooked perfectly and the pepper sauce i ordered to accompany was really nice. We both had a cocktail each and then ended up ordering the same ones again 3 times after they were so good. My friend went with the cleaver slushy and I had the salted caramel espresso martini. Oh my god it was gorgeous. Really good service also, attentive but not in your face either. I'd definitely go back :)

Another fabulous dining experience in Cleaver East. Food was delicious, in particular, the sides are a joy to behold! the Broccoli & Almonds, the Caesar Salad, and we had three types of fries - all amazing, especially at 3 sides for €10.50 - extremely good value. Lovely cocktails too. Would highly recommend this restaurant, the food is just so good!

Amazing food. The new menu is so good. It looks and tastes beautiful. We tried a great selection of the menu. The chicken wings, gyozas, while sea bream and the halibut. Sides of truffle fries, broccoli and spicy tomato salad. For dessert we went for the signature and the cacao tart. Our favourites were the duck gyozas and the truffle fries with poutine. . We will definitely be back. This is such a good deal if you want to try the a la cart menu.

Cleaver East is worth a visit! I had a delicious Yellow Fin Tuna starter, with a citrus gel which was tangy and full of flavour. Had the Fillet Steak accompanied by tasty sides such as the Tomato and Basil Salad, as well as the lovely Chilli & Garlic Butter sauce. Great Gin cocktail too and worth the €10.50 price tag. Staff were attentive and very pleasant and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My mother and I wanted to go somewhere special in town for dinner and were delighted to see Cleaver East listed on First Table! We arrived for our reservation and were promptly seated at a lovely table over by the windows. The restaurant was really nice and atmospheric, and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, as we wanted a lot of advice about the menu!

We had the beef arancini and wings to start, both of which were wonderful, though the arancini were the real standout! For mains we had the rib eye steak and the lamb - both excellent! The chilli and lime sauce was incredible - an unexpected combo with the lamb but just divine. For dessert, we had the house dessert and the panacotta. They were nice and had wonderful elements, but we thought maybe they should have gone simpler as there was a lot going on, but that may just be personal preference!

It was a lovely meal out and we'd definitely come back to Cleaver East!

The food in Cleaver East was really great, really nice presentation and I love the idea of picking your own sides from a list of options to go with your main course. Service was fast and the interiors was really different but cool. We arrived at cleaver east a little early, and were shown the direction of the bar which adjoins the restaurant - The Octagon Bar. We had a nice cocktail while we waited for our table.

On entering the restaurant we were greeted by courteous staff member, who showed us to a table. Initially the table we sat at had a wet seat, so we were moved without issue. We ordered another cocktail and some food (Steak, Arancini, Duck & pork belly spring rolls and brisket - all of which were pretty amazing! (special kudos to the spring rolls, presentation and taste was beautiful.

We ended up getting a free cocktail as the server took the order down incorrectly, but didn't make an issue of it & apologised which was a nice resolution. Cocktails were nice (albeit one was almost warm but as it was free I wasn't complaining - we got an extra glass of ice and it was great) and in my opinion they all deserved the 10$ price-tag. Espresso martini was tops!

All in, great experience and meal, will certainly be back to try C.E again!

Food was well presented and the menu had lots of choices. Atmosphere was perfect and enough of a buzz in the restaurant with the many other diners. Overall I was happy with my experience. If I had one criticism it would be the shortage of red wine glasses, other than that small issue the over experience was perfect start to an evening out.

We ate here last night we were a party of four, the staff were efficient helpful and friendly. For starters I had the salmon and my wife had the duck sliders and our friends opted for the chicken dumplings all were delicious. For mains two of us had the lamb one had the chicken and the other had the salmon, again all were delicious and the sides were lovely with a special mention for the mash it was very tasty. It was very busy and a party of about 30 arrived just after us, but the staff coped very well and everything flowed with no delays. Well done guys we will definitely be back.

We had dinner here last night and the food was amazing. We had pork cheek croquettes and duck sliders to start, then the chicken dish and a steak to follow. We had sides of creamed corn, mashed potato and green beans which were all excellent. Even though we had eaten so much we decided to get dessert. We had the apple crumble and the yogurt panna cotta which were both lovely. The service was excellent and overall we had a great meal and will definitely go back again

It was our first time to cleaver East. We were greeted by Florini and we were Treated fantastically from start to finish. Atmosphere v cool, food was excellent, fantastic ingredients very well cooked. We had the squid and the duck sliders for starters. The squid great presentation and perfectly cooked and the duck sliders "wow". We had the lamb tomahawks and pork belly for mains with assorted sides, really enjoyed every fork full. Would recommend it without hesitation, food and service fantastic. Well done cleaver East

This was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. We were a table of four - some had goats cheese panna cotta starters which were excellent and others had the rice balls which were simply fabulous. Our main courses included steak, venison and chicken, all of which were very tasty and we had a number of side dishes which were also very good indeed. The desserts were as impressive as the main courses. Chocolate mousse was simply fabulous, the panna cotta and the apple crumble were also excellent. Every course was worthy of 5 stars and the service was also very satisfactory. This is certainly a venue to be recommended.

Food was only ok. Service was really slow. And worst of all, we were put up on a mezzanine in the roof space which was cramped, untidy, really warm and lacked the atmosphere of the main restaurant, I felt that we were given the cheap seats because we booked on First Table

I dined here with 3 of my friends. The service was good as was the food. We were all happy with our dishes but we did feel that the full price for the food (4 starters, 4 mains, 5 sides and 1 dessert = €176) was expensive. We were glad we booked through first table and got a 50% discount. I have eaten in many high end restaurants and have had better food. I got the tuna steak and for my taste it was over-cooked. I wouldn't be in a rush back.

A little bit of a mixed bag review. I chose the chicken goyza as a starter and hubby the prawns. Both a little different which I like but also a bit tepid. I was half way through and noticed a fly on my dumpling. I showed the waitress who said sorry do you want a new portion. I declined. A bit of a wait for drinks and food as a large hen party arrived. I got my steak and it was cooked as ordered but again a little on the tepid side. Hubby had the lamb and enjoyed it. We tried a few different sides unusual to most places. Nice to have something different. Near the end of meal the manager was near and i asked if he has been told about the fly as no-one had come to us to address it. He said no he knew nothing about it. I thought that was bad communication between staff. So food was nice enough but definitely not at full price as all sides need to be ordered separately.
