Beautiful pork belly would highly recommend it. The dessert had to be the highlight of the evening. We chose the signature dish and it was delightful. Great friendly service lovely surroundings. 10/10

We arrived at cleaver east a little early, and were shown the direction of the bar which adjoins the restaurant - The Octagon Bar. We had a nice cocktail while we waited for our table.

On entering the restaurant we were greeted by courteous staff member, who showed us to a table. Initially the table we sat at had a wet seat, so we were moved without issue. We ordered another cocktail and some food (Steak, Arancini, Duck & pork belly spring rolls and brisket - all of which were pretty amazing! (special kudos to the spring rolls, presentation and taste was beautiful.

We ended up getting a free cocktail as the server took the order down incorrectly, but didn't make an issue of it & apologised which was a nice resolution. Cocktails were nice (albeit one was almost warm but as it was free I wasn't complaining - we got an extra glass of ice and it was great) and in my opinion they all deserved the 10$ price-tag. Espresso martini was tops!

All in, great experience and meal, will certainly be back to try C.E again!

Food was well presented and the menu had lots of choices. Atmosphere was perfect and enough of a buzz in the restaurant with the many other diners. Overall I was happy with my experience. If I had one criticism it would be the shortage of red wine glasses, other than that small issue the over experience was perfect start to an evening out.

We ate here last night we were a party of four, the staff were efficient helpful and friendly. For starters I had the salmon and my wife had the duck sliders and our friends opted for the chicken dumplings all were delicious. For mains two of us had the lamb one had the chicken and the other had the salmon, again all were delicious and the sides were lovely with a special mention for the mash it was very tasty. It was very busy and a party of about 30 arrived just after us, but the staff coped very well and everything flowed with no delays. Well done guys we will definitely be back.

Wow! What a restaurant! We thought we’d try the surprise 5 course tasting menu and it was absolutely amazing! The lamb was cooked so perfectly and the fusion of flavours were wonderful. Thank you Cleaver East... we will be back!

We had dinner here last night and the food was amazing. We had pork cheek croquettes and duck sliders to start, then the chicken dish and a steak to follow. We had sides of creamed corn, mashed potato and green beans which were all excellent. Even though we had eaten so much we decided to get dessert. We had the apple crumble and the yogurt panna cotta which were both lovely. The service was excellent and overall we had a great meal and will definitely go back again

It was our first time to cleaver East. We were greeted by Florini and we were Treated fantastically from start to finish. Atmosphere v cool, food was excellent, fantastic ingredients very well cooked. We had the squid and the duck sliders for starters. The squid great presentation and perfectly cooked and the duck sliders "wow". We had the lamb tomahawks and pork belly for mains with assorted sides, really enjoyed every fork full. Would recommend it without hesitation, food and service fantastic. Well done cleaver East

This was an excellent dining experience from start to finish. We were a table of four - some had goats cheese panna cotta starters which were excellent and others had the rice balls which were simply fabulous. Our main courses included steak, venison and chicken, all of which were very tasty and we had a number of side dishes which were also very good indeed. The desserts were as impressive as the main courses. Chocolate mousse was simply fabulous, the panna cotta and the apple crumble were also excellent. Every course was worthy of 5 stars and the service was also very satisfactory. This is certainly a venue to be recommended.

Lovely meal. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. My partner has egg allergies and we were delighted when our waitress brought out an extra side without mayonnaise. Really appreciated that.

The food was lovely - starters we went for gyoza and prawns - two very nice dishes , the prawns cooked to perfection in a lovely chilli sauce. The gyoza were just as nice - nicely flavoured filing and in a nice light sauce. We both went for steaks as main - fillet was very tender - great cut of meat and sides were nice also. It was comfortable to sit in and nice atmosphere -I will be back again

beautiful restaurant. We were greeted immediately & seated. very friendly & efficient staff. A group of nearly 30 people arrived and the staff just sailed through the service. our starters of salmon mousse & pork belly were delightful. We both opted for steaks which were perfectly cooked. Desserts were delicious. Lovely selection of wine. A very enjoyable evening, I could not find fault with any aspect of our experience.

A little bit of a mixed bag review. I chose the chicken goyza as a starter and hubby the prawns. Both a little different which I like but also a bit tepid. I was half way through and noticed a fly on my dumpling. I showed the waitress who said sorry do you want a new portion. I declined. A bit of a wait for drinks and food as a large hen party arrived. I got my steak and it was cooked as ordered but again a little on the tepid side. Hubby had the lamb and enjoyed it. We tried a few different sides unusual to most places. Nice to have something different. Near the end of meal the manager was near and i asked if he has been told about the fly as no-one had come to us to address it. He said no he knew nothing about it. I thought that was bad communication between staff. So food was nice enough but definitely not at full price as all sides need to be ordered separately.

The food here is amazing. This was my second time visiting and I will happily return again. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into what flavours they use and the food is good quality. The staff are friendly, polite and very attentive. Really can't fault the place. Also, thumbs up for the choice of music.

It seems they are new to firstable so there was some confusion around the booking for ourselves and others who were arriving at the same time.

After that, the service and food were both pretty good

We went to Cleaver East on a Saturday. We ordered from the early bird menu, had the salmon and prawn starter followed by a cheese burger and fish gnocchi. The salmon and cheese burger was truly amazing, really really good, but the other two dishes left room for improvement.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our food was served perfectly on time. The place was had a lovely vibe to it.

What was frustrating though is even though we ordered from the early bird menu they rang it up differently and where we should have paid 21 euro per person for 2 courses we ended up paying a little more.

Would we go back, yes. They have a cocktail, late dinner special after 9.30pm some nights that sounds fantastic.

We had a fantastic experience dining in cleaver east at the weekend, the food was superb and the staff were friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for you, we dined as a family of 4, the kids are dying to go back, there is a limited kids menu so it was no trouble for the kids to share starters and mains from the normal menu and have the kids desserts from the children's menu.

No record of my booking when I arrived but we were eventually directed to a table. We were left waiting for 45 mins before we ordered. People who came in after us were served before us. We didn’t get any bread as I saw tables around us get. We were never asked was everything ok. Asked for salt and pepper and it never arrived. I understand the restaurant was busy but service wasn’t up to scratch considering the number of waiting staff present. The food when it eventually arrived was nice which was the only saving grace.

The starters were absolutely delicious!! I got there duck sliders and my other half got the carpaccio which was served beautifully!!
For main I got pork belly, which was very nice but not the best I'd had and my other half got the beef which was cooked perfectly! Got the side of parmesan fries which were only OK, wish we'd gone for something more adventurous side wise!!
Service was great, the let us pick our table and the space is so airy the restaurant has a great atmosphere!
The wine was delicious too!!
Will definitely be going again!! :)

Overall a very good experience, but with a few little glitches. Firstly, although we were the 'First Table' they weren't ready for us (even though the restaurant seemed to be well up and running with customers) and sent us to the bar which is a total bugbear of mine. I'm normally a real starter-lover but none of the options jumped out at me. My partner got the red pepper and tomato soup and it was absolutely delicious. We both got steak which was cooked to perfection, and absolutely delicious. We shared an apple crumble for dessert which was beautiful. The wine selection was great, we had a delicious Malbec. I didn't feel that the early bird was particularly good value - €26 for three courses plus a €10 supplement for steak plus €10.50 for three sides. So if two people share the sides it works out at €41 each before drinks and coffees. The service was very efficient, if a little haphazard. We probably dealt with 5-6 members of staff over the course of the meal. Each one was very polite and lovely to deal with. We had told one lady that we were in a hurry and asked for the bill, however it didn't arrive and then the lady we were paying didn't know to give us the discount. All was easily rectified and we left happy. I would highly recommend this place.

Had a great evening at the Cleaver East! We booked a table for two from 5:30 but we had to wait 5-10 minutes in the bar as the tables were not yet ready, probably because the restaurant opened a few minutes before.
Food was good, started with Pho Boy for myself and dumplings for my girlfriend, followed by Lamb Tomahawks and Pan Fried Salmon, with Sweet Potato Fries, Buttered Green Beans and Mashed Potato with Sweet Onion Gravy and Crispy Beef.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, greetings to Luca and Florin!
