Inspired by the buzzing pizza joints of Naples, the MacHugh twins decided to bring a slice of the action back to their home city and boy did they deliver. Lit by skylights and daubed with tasteful green paint, the dining room sprawls across the ground floor of the Skylab building.

Sano means ‘healthy’ and the bases are made with just four ingredients and fermented for a minimum of 48 hours, before being seared to chewy perfection in traditional stone ovens imported from Naples.

The majority of toppings come from the motherland. Tuck into the likes of the diavola (spicy salami from Calabria) or the rucola (Italian ham, tangy parmesan and a generous glug of olive oil), or opt for one of the specials, which change weekly to reflect the seasons. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
