Renowned all over Dublin for their rustic Italian feasts that never compromise on flavour, Paulie's is a favourite with anyone who loves sumptuous stone baked pizzas, slurpy pasta and fabulous beer and wine.
Housed in a beautiful townhouse, Paulie's is perfectly placed for city-goers who fancy a slice of homecooked wholesomeness. Inside, they present their own vision of a modern Italian trattoria, painted a cool grey with hints of rural farmland scattered all around. A magnificent bullhead presides over the dining action and the solid wood furnishings also bring an air of warmth to this most friendly of establishments.
We promised spellbinding pizza and that's exactly what's on the menu. And they're not just taking inspiration from the cobbled streets of Napoli. Sure, the classic bianca, calzone and capricciosa feature, but they're also looking further afield to New York for the double pepperoni, ham-tastic Hero pizza and super Picante with spicy salami, chilli and rocket. Don't forget to check out their signatures too; you certainly won't find them elsewhere!
As for pasta, expect family favourites such as beef Bolognese, seasonal risottos and pappardelle with a slow braised veal ragu. And if you don't have room for a coffee-soaked tiramisu, opt instead for some liquid fun with a Passionfruit Daiquiri or Margarita Rosa. Who says they also can't double as pudding?
