Find out why this quirky eatery just snapped up Best Wine Bar in Ireland...

Piglet Wine Bar was a plan hatched by Enrico Fantasia and Thibaud Harang. Chaotic, cosy and utterly charming, it has rocketed from humble beginnings to national acclaim, thanks to their genuine passion for great food and wine.

The award-winning bar is renowned for an eclectic selection of natural, biodynamic and organic wines, alongside the most classic European appellations, magnums and old vintages. You’ll be sure to discover a new favourite here!

To accompany your gorgeous glass of wine, their kitchen rustles up seasonal dishes that can be mixed, matched and shared to suit all palates and appetites. The ingredients are sourced wherever possible from local and artisan producers.

Located on the Christchurch end of Temple Bar, Piglet provides an unforgettable evening of fine wine, great food and genuine hospitality.

Went there for the first time with my partner and all we can say is that food was amazing. We started with "la tartine" Followed by the mixed board of cheese and meat. Then we ordered the octopus which was cooked to perfection one of the pasta plates and the croquetes. If you are hesitant to go, see this review and you will change your mind.

Came here after a recommendation, I was not disappointed. My friend and I were very hungry and ordered 4 dishes to share, thought they wouldn’t be enough but portions were actually pretty good. We had a delicious bottle of Portuguese red that our French waitron suggested :). Ambience is perfect, can get busy after working hours as it is a small venue. Ideal if you are looking for a place to have some nice and quiet evening with good company.

We had never dined at Piglet wine bar before and FT was the perfect excuse to try it out. And I am so glad we did. It was a freezing evening and the restaurant was really cosy. The waitress was friendly and the service was exceptional. We had mixed olives and warm sourdough bread to start, and with olive oil and balsamic, it was heavenly. We both had seafood mains, large juicy prawns served in a divine tomato and Espalette pepper sauce and the most tender scallops I have ever tasted, served with trumpet mushrooms and cauliflower purée and we shared a side of herb sautéed potatoes. A full bodied Spanish Garnacha to accompany and water aplenty. There was no room for dessert so we will have to return to try that some other time. Thank you Piglet for a wonderful dining experience.

Our experience was just divine, from the starter to the dessert. We ordered some tapas to start with, octopus salad, gratinated oysters and pan fried scallops and creme brulse...everything was absolutely delish! The restaurant has a long selection of excellent wines, maybe the best in Dublin. The service is very friendly...typical French charm. Would definitely go back!

This spot is cosy and conveniently located. The service is always great. There are so many delicious options on the menu and the wine selection is extensive. My favourite thing on the menu is the Cacio e Pepe, this dish is what dreams are made of.
