Cuisine: Irish, Steakhouse, Whisky Bar
Price Point: Mains from €15 - €30

Toro 31 is a Limerick eatery steeped in history, whiskey and excellent food.

Once belonging to a particularly affluent area of Limerick known for housing nobility, Toro 31 keeps up with tradition by serving the highest quality food in a wonderfully homely setting.

The menu would most definitely have been given a seal of approval by the regulars of old. Continental appetisers such as French onion soup and bruschetta would provide a light yet exotic welcome, while more far-flung Eastern dishes such as the fillet monkfish curry with saffron rice would have blown their wealthy minds. As for the New York striploin, well, that wouldn’t have even been invented yet.

To drink, it has to be whiskey in our Toro 31 Whiskey Cellar!!

Walk in the steps of the aristocrats, book in with Flanagan's Townhouse now.

We had a most enjoyable night at this restaurant. Quality food was matched by excellent customer service. Generous portions in scampi starter. Decent portion of baby back ribs. A quality house wine washed down a perfectly cooked striploin. My partner chose hake as her main course which was fresh and delicate. Most importantly, the service was professional and unobtrusive. Our waiter was friendly and informative. We felt that our custom was appreciated. This is a lovely spot to spend an evening. We understand that the restaurant is currently being re-branded. We will return and hope that it retains its charm in the process.

Food & service were both fantastic! The only drawback i would have would be that the restaurant felt cold but food was spectacular and so was the service, bar man was very attentive and friendly, as was our waitress! So the positives far outweighed the one negative! Kids meals were great value, 7e each and they got a brownie for dessert included in that which my daughter said was the best she ever had! My husband's fruit salad for dessert was far from what i expected, definitely the freshest n least boring fruit salad I've ever seen served! Will definitely book through first table again and will also visit Flanagan's again!

Our first time at this bar/restaurant. Lovely decor, lovely atmosphere. Food was fab, felt home made, fresh and clean and REAL CHIPS(a struggle to get them in the land of the spud). Service was fab and the staff even noticed it was our little girls 1st birthday, they brought out a complimentary desert with candle and sang happy birthday. We will be back and will recommended to others

Had a very enjoyable catch up with some girls in this restaurant. I have to say the service we received and standard of food was very good. I met a male member of staff on first entering and he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He also allowed us to pick which table we wanted to sit at. It was also great to get 50% off the food bill. I would definitely recommend heading here .
