Named after an Irish-American moonshine facturer who was at one point the only female prisoner on Alcatraz, this heritage pub ticks all the boxes.
Right in the heart of Limerick’s medieval quarter, it’s the ideal pitstop before a match at Thomond Park or after a day exploring King John’s Castle. The main bar has to be one of the most atmospheric in the city with crooked wooden beams and ox-blood leather stools, and a recent renovation has left it feeling extra bright and cosy.
Join them for home-cooked food and local beers throughout the day, from a full Irish breakfast to classic slow-braised beef and stout stew. Golden crumbed brie wedges and sticky chicken wings dunked in blue cheese dip are a tasty way to kick things off.
Tipple your way through an enviable collection of Irish stouts and craft beers or sample the very finest local whiskies – the perfect way to mingle with locals in one of Limerick’s favourite pubs!
