Cuisine: Seafood, Steakhouse
Price Point: Mains from €15 - €30

Mouthwatering steaks and locally sourced seafood find their home in this classy establishment. Welcome to Cornstore.

If you're out to impress, look no further. Fusing contemporary décor with the old-fashioned cushioned booths, dainty lamps and a shimmering bar, Cornstore has round booths for groups, bougie bar stools for a quick catch up and intimate tables for those with first-date jitters. Even better, its lively atmosphere keeps it fun and informal.

Chat over some duck liver parfait or gin and tonic mussels and an exquisite crab brulee (guaranteed you won't find this anywhere else), while your mains are being prepared. We're not lying when we say the seafood is a must-have here. Waste no time and go for the fresher-than-fresh catch of the day which includes smoked haddock, salmon and cod.

Other mains include a duck confit Leg, a deliciously rich oxtail ragu and rack and rolled lamb which sounds like quite the party animal! Speaking of a party animal, let your hair down with an award-winning cocktail. How about an Irish breakfast (it's not how it sounds), a sensation sour or the perfect match? If you need time to think, just 'leave a message'... yes that's a cocktail.

We visited the Cornstore last night for a mid week treat. It was my first time in there and I was very impressed with the decore, it was very warm and inviting. Our server was very pleasant (I think his name was Damien) He recommended the chateaubriand and explained that it came with lots of sides & sauces. I must say it was delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection and there was plenty of veg, mash & onion rings for both of us. It also came with 3 sauces (peppercorn, red wine jus & bernaise) along with garlic butter.

For dessert we had a sticky toffee pudding and a gooey chocolate fondant (cooked to perfection). Both did an excellent job of satisfying my sweet tooth.

Our night was capped off with an espresso for me and a cocktail for my wife ( called The Teddy Bear).

Staff were very attentive throughout and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and relaxing. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying The Cornstore.

Had a lovely experience in the cornstore on Wednesday night with my mother. We booked an early table, staff were very attentive all night even when it started getting busy. Roman was our server at first and told us there was one portion of crab claws left so obviously we had to order them and the smoked salmon starter. They were both extremely tasty. We ordered the chateaubriand for mains to share and everyone told us we wouldn’t be disappointed!! We were in awe it was exceptional!!. It came with mash potatoes, spinach, roast carrots and parsnips, onion rings and a range of sauces. I would definitely recommend doing this at least once. So much delicious food. Sandra was also our waitress and she was so on top of everything. Always offered to fill my wine when it was gone and made sure we were well taken care of. My mother was very impressed. A lovely evening we will definitely be back.

I have always loved everything in Cornstore. The food, the place and the service are all top-notch. What made this dining experience memorable was the dessert! We had the flourless chocolate cake and an apple crumble - both are to die for! Make sure you dine in Cornstore if you are in Limerick City.
