For confident, classic food in Cork city centre, look no further than Jacques…

A local institution that has been in operation for almost 40 years, it is known for its polished service and cosseting atmosphere as much as its excellent food.

Over their four decades of operation they have built up an excellent network of local suppliers and you won’t find higher quality ingredients anywhere in the city.

Start your meal with a selection of international-inspired small plates such as stuffed mushrooms and monkfish curry, before moving on to elegant mains executed with aplomb. Wild hake with lemon and fennel butter showcases Ireland’s excellent seafood while lamb rump with salsa verde is our pick from the land.

The wine list is constantly evolving but always focuses on small producers. Sink into the comfy banquette seating and prepare for a gourmet experience to savour.
