The only place you'll find the original Boxty, this wee corner of Temple Bar is the proud home of this much-treasured pancake.

It's Irish through and through, so it is. If you're not up to speed with this cultural landmark, the first Boxty pancake was flipped and filled in 1988 by a certain Pádraic Óg Gallagher and has evolved to include a whole load of fillings that showcase the best Irish produce. Gallagher's itself is a comforting recreation of dinner at ma and da's. A familiar sense of home makes this establishment Irish to its core, where family suppers are the mainstay of contentment and the source of good craic all round.

Now, to the menu where the famous Boxty reigns supreme. With numerous editions of this beloved classic, there's much to choose from, like the Chicken, Gaelic and Veg Chilli Boxty, the Boxty burger and, of course, the all-day Boxty breakfast. And what kind of Irish establishment is complete without traditional corned beef and Ballymakenny violet potatoes? Or a healthy helping of cabbage and kale colcannon? And let's not forget the Irish seafood chowder that features all the best-smoked fish this fare land has to offer.

Another thing Ireland is famous for is booze! Boasting some of the best gins from Dingle Peninsula, whiskey from the local distillery and beers from Jack Smyth brewery, all there's left to do is clink your glasses and wish good health to your loved ones and Pádraic Óg Gallagher for his miraculous Boxty.
