Diep

Responsible for the best Thai food in Dublin for the better part of 20 years, Diep has seen locals and visitors revel in its authentic Thai flavours and come back later for more.

It might have started off in Ranelagh but now Diep has spread its branches to Drumcondra with a pleasing restaurant that makes everyone feel at home. Lean and clean with a whitewashed interior and plenty of sunlight (when Dublin grants such a thing!), it makes for a relaxed dining experience for the whole family.

The menu touches all the cornerstones of Thai cuisine. From nourishing Tom Yum soups to endless noodles, fiery wok creations and creamy curries, there's something for everyone. For some chopstick action, you couldn't do better than a mountain of Singapore, Bangkok or Pad Thai noodles, all brimming with fresh vegetables, seafood, meat and, of course, a generous douse of ginger and soy sauce. The wok is also performing some culinary magic with the Mekong duck, Thai chicken satay and chilli basil!

If you're down for a curry you're in for a treat. With green, yellow, panang and massaman curries lining the menu, all you need is a deep spoon to tuck in with.
