Inspired by the hustle and bustle of his family home in India, Chef Joginder Singh is bringing these beloved recipes back to life in Terenure. And all in a suitable homey atmosphere too!
Pretentious, Spice Village is not. Beautifully down to Earth with all the jumbled aesthetics that make family homes so endearing, this restaurant welcomes everyone like a long-lost relative and invites them to come as they are and reconnect over honest, authentic food. Colourful, comfy and with plenty of Indian art adorning the walls, Chef Jogi encourages guests to sample his culinary journey from the kitchens of India to Africa, and now in Dublin.
Combining unbeatable favourites and lesser-known dishes around India, the curries span the entire flavour spectrum. Their all-time favourites include customisable saags, bhunas, jalfrezis, madras' and vindaloos. Vegetarians have their pick of the crop with saag paneer, daals and aloo gobi. From other corners of the cuisine comes the Spice Village seafood curry that's packed with ginger and aromatic star anise, Malabari fish curry and murgh Makhan palak with chicken and spinach in a rich, tomatoey sauce.
And straight from Hyderabad come the jalfrezis! Perfectly infused with their range of home ground spices and served with a curry sauce and raita, enjoy yours with chicken, lamb, prawn or vegetables. Keep it coming with some mushroom pulao rice or a gigantic Peshawari naan. Specialists in flavour pairings and with a spice rack to beat them all, the clue's in the name at Spice Village.
