In the bustle of Dublin’s city centre, Hana Izakaya by Musashi unfurls like its namesake flower. Born from a love of Japanese culture and countless European sojourns, especially Parisian streets where blooms weave into daily life, it brings that gentle romance to a modern Japanese table. Tradition and innovation meet here, not as opposites but as companions, shaped by community and the easy sociability of an izakaya.

The cooking speaks in lively, shareable rhythms. Charcoal kisses skewers of chicken thigh with spring onions or sweet prawn, while precise cuts of nigiri and sashimi spotlight salmon, tuna, seabass and sweet shrimp. Rolls lean playful: the Hana on Fire Roll layers crab, avocado and flamed salmon, while the Rainbow Roll parades prawn and tuna in bright succession. Between sips and conversation come satisfying pauses for tempura crunch, a steaming miso soup, or the simple comfort of gyoza and edamame.

A contemporary ambience softens the edges, warmed by floral touches and the unhurried flow of plates and pours. It is casual yet refined, made for after‑work unwinding, late catch‑ups and unplanned second rounds. Book in, gather your favourites, and let the conversation—and the evening—blossom.
